Extra Curricular
At The Square Nursery School, our extra-curricular lessons are designed to enrich and extend the learning experiences of our young students beyond the traditional curriculum. We offer a diverse range of activities that cater to all interests and promote a well-rounded development. Children delight in our weekly Spanish classes, where they are introduced to a new language through interactive and fun-filled sessions. Our cookery lessons in the nursery kitchen teach practical life skills and encourage healthy eating habits. Additionally, the children engage with nature regularly in our garden, learning about the environment while developing a sense of responsibility and care for living things as well as the food we grow.
Each activity is thoughtfully integrated to ensure that it not only supports our educational goals but also enhances the children’s social, emotional, and physical growth.
Spanish Class
Every week, our nursery fills with the lively sounds of Spanish as children joyfully learn numbers, colours, simple sentences, and catchy songs like 'Caracol, Col, Col'.
Music and Movement
During our Music and Movement sessions, children have a blast exploring rhythms and melodies as they play a variety of musical instruments, dancing and moving to the beat in a lively celebration of sound and motion.
Drama
In our drama class, children embark on imaginative journeys that evolve throughout the term, using creativity and role-playing to bring stories to life and transform into different characters, fostering confidence and communication skills along the way.
Cookery
In our cooking class, children develop new skills and discover a world of flavours as they explore new foods, mixing fun and learning to nurture healthy habits and culinary creativity.
