What makes our meals special?
-
Top Hygiene Standards: We maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our kitchen, ensuring every meal is prepared in a safe and healthy environment.
-
Support for Dietary Needs: We take food allergies, intolerances, and dietary requirements seriously. We provide tailored meal options to ensure all children can enjoy their meals safely. Parents are encouraged to share their child's specific dietary needs with us.
-
Expertly Crafted Menus: The Yum Yum Food Company specialises in creating balanced meals tailored for young, growing bodies. Each dish is crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients to ensure that our children enjoy meals that are not only tasty but also packed with essential nutrients.
-
Variety and Excitement: Our menus are designed to be diverse and exciting, encouraging children to look forward to mealtimes. We offer a wide range of fruits, vegetables, grains, proteins, and healthy fats, ensuring a comprehensive diet that supports active learning and play.
-
Parental Involvement: We believe in transparency and involvement. Parents can explore an example of our weekly menu online and are kept informed with regular updates.
-
Healthy Snacking: In addition to our main meals, we provide healthy morning and afternoon snacks. We include a selection of snacks including, fruits, vegetables, breadsticks, milk, and fresh water. Our children actively engage in enhancing their fine motor skills by washing and cutting fresh fruits and vegetables daily, turning snack time into an enriching and educational experience.
-
Educational and Fun Mealtimes: Mealtimes at The Square Nursery School are social occasions where children not only receive nourishment but also engage in valuable learning experiences. Children sit down together for meals, fostering a sense of community and responsibility as they set the table themselves. This practice promotes good table manners and independence. Our hot meals, served on a three-week rotation, keep lunchtime both exciting and varied, encouraging children to explore different food textures and tastes while developing their ability to use cutlery.
-
Staying Hydrated: We prioritise keeping our children well-hydrated by ensuring their drinking cups or water bottles are always accessible and regularly refilled with fresh water throughout the day
