Each year, The Square Nursery School celebrates the festive season with a special end-of-term Christmas event for our children and their families. While some years this may be a traditional Nativity play, other years we enjoy a Christmas Festivities Day filled with songs, crafts, and seasonal cheer. This flexible approach allows us to celebrate in ways best suited to the children’s ages, while always keeping the focus on creativity, togetherness, and the joy of the season. Families are warmly invited to join us in these celebrations, creating cherished memories that capture the spirit of Christmas.

The Square Nursery School hosts its eagerly anticipated Sports Day in the scenic community garden. This vibrant event brings together children, parents, and teachers for a day filled with fun, sportsmanship, and community spirit. Our young athletes participate in a variety of races and games, from the classic egg and spoon race to exciting obstacle courses. Adding to the fun, we also feature optional parent races, ensuring everyone has a chance to get involved and enjoy the spirit of competition. It’s a wonderful opportunity for families to cheer on their little ones and each other, fostering a strong sense of community and making lasting memories.

Every year at The Square Nursery School, we capture cherished moments during our School Photo Day. A professional nursery photographer visits us to take high-quality photographs of our children in our beautiful garden. This special day includes individual portraits, sibling photos, and a class picture, providing families with wonderful keepsakes to treasure. Parents love seeing their children's bright smiles and proud poses, beautifully captured in a professional setting. It’s a delightful way for families to document the growth and milestones of their little ones throughout their nursery years.

One of the highlights of our year at The Square Nursery School is our annual paddling pool day. Each summer, we set up a child-friendly paddling pool, allowing the children to splash around and enjoy the water in a safe and supervised environment. This special event provides endless fun and excitement, promoting physical activity and sensory play. It's a wonderful opportunity for the children to cool off, develop their water confidence, and create lasting memories with their friends.
